After a brief introduction, you will embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, one of Uganda’s premier destinations for chimpanzee tracking. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours, allowing you to soak in the beautiful Ugandan countryside.

Afternoon: Check-in and Relaxation Once you arrive at Kibale National Park, check into your accommodation and freshen up. Enjoy lunch at the lodge, where you can savor delicious local and international cuisine. Afterward, take some time to relax and explore the surroundings or engage in optional activities, such as nature walks or birdwatching.

Evening: Cultural Experience In the evening, you will have the chance to visit a nearby village and interact with the local communities. Learn about their traditions, lifestyle, and crafts. • Early Morning: After an early breakfast, you will head to Kibale National Park for your highly anticipated chimpanzee tracking experience. You will meet your ranger guide at the park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee behavior, safety guidelines, and what to expect during the trek.

• Tracking Adventure: Set off into the forest in search of the lively chimpanzees. The trek can last from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzee group. As you navigate through the dense rainforest, keep your eyes peeled for various other primates, including red-tailed monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and black-and-white colobus monkeys, as well as a myriad of bird species.

• Encountering Chimpanzees: Once you locate the chimpanzee group, you will have a thrilling hour to observe them as they interact, groom each other, and feed. Their social dynamics are fascinating to witness, and your guide will provide valuable insights into their behaviors and habitat.

• Afternoon: After the tracking experience, return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you can relax or participate in optional activities such as a visit to the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you can explore more of Uganda’s biodiversity and spot numerous bird species.

• Evening: Return to your lodge for dinner and share stories of your chimpanzee encounter with fellow travelers.

• Morning: After breakfast, check out of your accommodation and begin your return journey to Entebbe. Depending on your flight schedule, you may stop for additional sightseeing or explore any attractions along the way.

• Optional Activities: If time permits, you might visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre in Entebbe, where you can learn about local conservation efforts and see various wildlife species up close.
